Shambhala is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘place of peace,’ That is precisely what you find at this gorgeous villa nestled amongst untouched natural beauty and just steps from glittering sands and endless ocean. Designed by renowned architect Rafael Amuchastegui, this beachfront hideaway balances tranquillity and privacy with decadence and connection.
Situated at the very edge of Long Bay Beach (voted one of the top ten beaches in the world by Condé Nast), Villa Shambhala sits on over two acres of luscious, tranquil grounds and yet is still only 10 minutes from central Grace Bay.
This 5-bedroom main house is 7,300 sq ft of classic Barbadian design. It comprises pockets of privacy, all linked together by gorgeous open-air Tuscan galleries. The heart of the villa is the magnificent great room with gleaming alabaster walls, vintage furniture, and gorgeous arched French doors with plantation shutters, all crowned by a hand-painted cathedral-like ceiling. The house and location were both amazing! So close to the beach and the house had everything we needed for an extended family of 5 adults and 2 little kids. The outdoor furniture was awesome and the staff and service were amazing. We will definitely see more

The Kitchen is set up nicely with full gourmet appliances, with room to prepare our dinners. Loved the dedicated icemaker for all of our island drinks. We spent a ton of time in the pool, relaxing in the sun chairs, and walking along the beach. We loved the tennis court on property…we had a fun tennis tournament one day with our group! The beach is literally steps away from the outdoor patio, and such an amazing view. It was great hanging out in the ocean, which is only waist deep even a few hundred yards out! I would definitely recommend the Clevelander for your large group getaway!"

Fortunate to stay at this amazing villa in March and it was spectacular. Modern open concept with views of the ocean from every room. The beautifully manicured villa grounds were like a botanical garden of tropical flowering walkways. The tennis court and outdoor covered workout area were enjoyed by everyone in our group. The huge pool area allowed perfect spots to gather but also quiet areas to relax in the sun. The endless beachfront was just a few steps away with more seating and paddleboards for our use. We enjoyed jet skis right from here that were easily arranged for an afternoon of fun. Never needed any water shoes between the cool concrete pool deck and paths as well as the soft white sandy beach and ocean floor. Seemed like we could walk out for miles in the crystal clear waters.
The kitchen area was large and stocked with everything we needed. The arranged chef on one of our evenings prepared an incredible meal in the gourmet spacious kitchen. A few of our friends who enjoy cooking -even on vacation- were enamored by this chef's kitcheneverything they needed. An evening quick stroll down the coastline led us to an unforgettable meal at Sui Ren on another of our nights. The house layout is amazing and the bedrooms are all beautiful with breathtaking paradise views. Several spacious terraces on the upper level allow for quiet areas to step away and relax and we could not believe how quiet the bedrooms were -even when music and energy was still going strong at the pool below. The location is perfect to visit any area of the island but honestly our group did not want to leave since every aspect of the perfect luxury vacation was right there for us at The Clevelander. |
